I would like to know what you find in your search. I hear a lot about how technology is a tool not a necessity. All I can think is how in this day in time it is a necessity not just a tool. Of course it won't help if you don't use it. However, I think if your research was successful you could almost argue that. It seems to me that technology is a must for the students we are teaching today because that is how they learn and the only way they will stay engaged. I look forward to seeing your findings.
ReplyDeleteYour research involves two very important topics, literacy and technology. This is something that my team and I talked about many times during our weekly meetings last year. Like Crystal, I have heard of technology referred to as a tool, not a necessity. I think it is a necessary tool. I will be very interested to see your research develop.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you both. I think that it is becoming more and more imperative for us to incorporate technology as much as possible, because everything is beginning to be geared toward technology. Students are so use to cell phones, computers, ipads, etc., that a book just won't cut it alone anymore.
